New York Hotel Trades Council and Hotel Association of NYC: Brooklyn Health Center

Healthcare New York Metro Area
Located one block from the Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Brooklyn Health Center is a 12-story mixed-use Health Center and commercial hub. “We had two major goals for this building,” said Dr. Robert Greenspan, Executive Director of HCI. “First, we wanted to create a strong image for HCI in Brooklyn that supports our brand and welcomes our members. Second, we insisted on a vigorously patient-centered environment with top-of-the-line care that exceeds the efficiency, comfort, and quality of commercial healthcare institutions. Above all, we want our members to enjoy an unmatched healthcare experience.” To integrate the brand-presence of HCI into the developing cultural community of Brooklyn, the project was designed to extend the public spaces in and around the site. The form of the building is driven by a desire to link the existing BAM Park with the Theatre for a New Audience Arts Plaza.
